Default Guild Wars: Time for the Final Patch

Guild Wars Version 2.0.1
Guild Wars Game Update Notes

Update - Someday Soon

Game Mechanics
  • Players now have a private copy of the game whenever they play PvE. Changes to inventory, storage, equipped items, skills and party members are saved to the server whenever players change zones.
  • Town servers have been shut down for all towns and outposts outside the Battle Isles. Players now receive a private copy of a town or outpost whenever they enter it. This town has all the features of the currents towns, including henchmen, merchants and quest NPCs. To simulate the feel of a real town, up to ten (for outposts) and thirty (for towns) randomly generated 19 character or shorter names will say "need help!" and "LFG" in All chat once every 5 seconds, as well as "WTS uber rare golds" and "WTS fiery dragon sowrd" alongside "WTB good sword, must be max damage or more!" every 2 seconds.
  • Players can no longer form teams or meet each other outside the Battle Isles.
  • Players can now equip heroes up to maximal party size for all PvE areas. This is to prevent players from looking for a team.
  • The "Players" option has been removed from Party Search in all areas outside the Battle Isles.

Hero And Henchman Changes[*]Hero AI has been upgraded to that of monsters in Hard Mode.[*]Heroes and Henchmen no longer receive loot or gold.

Skill Updates
  • Players may now equip up to 8 PvE only skills.
  • Protective Spirit mechanics changed to: this enchantment cannot be removed. Ever.
  • All skills now deal double damage, have doubled duration, activate and recharge twice as fast, heal for double health and cannot be interrupted by monsters. This effect does not affect skills used by monsters.

Battle Isles Changes
  • Removed the Zaishen Challenge from the Heroes Ascent tournament.

Boss and Dungeon Changes
  • Whenever a player defeats a boss NPC, that player may select from its possible unique drops which one he or she would like to receive. If the player selects none, he or she will receive a random gold item or elite tome (in Hard Mode) instead.
  • When opening a Dungeon Chest, players may select which item they receive from the possible unique and gemstone drops. If a player selects none, that player will receive 2 random gold items instead.
  • Dungeons now only contain the final (Boss) level. If a player has reached a dungeon previously, that player may directly map travel to that dungeon.

Miscellaneous
  • Added a Collectible Miniature trader to Kodash Bazaar, Droknar's Forge, Kaineng Center, Kamadan, Lion's Arch and Eye of the North towns. This vendor sells all minipets at the cost of 1 000 gold for common miniatures, 2 500 gold for uncommons, 5 000 gold for rares and 10 000 for greens. Special Event miniatures can be obtained at the cost of 15 000 gold each.
  • Added the option "Reforge Weapon" at the Weaponsmith vendor. Players may pay 10g to change the appearance of their weapons to that of any other weapon of the same type. The weapon will retain its color, name, upgrades and requirement.
  • Primary Quests and Missions must only be completed once per account. If a player has completed a missio before on his or her account, that player may simply type /complete when in the mission or quest explorable area to complete that quest or mission. Players will receive the highest completion level unlocked on your account for missions completed this way.
  • Missions now have ressurection shrines.
  • Players are no longer expelled from explorable areas when their party's DP reaches 60% in Hard Mode.
  • Consumable items no longer require skill points (except Star of Transference) or crafting materials to create. Costs have been reduced to 50g for Perfect Salvage Kits, 100g for Armor of Salvation, Grail of Might and Essence of Celerity, 250g for Powerstone of Courage, 1 skill point and 10g for Star of Transference and 25g for Scroll of Resurrection.
  • Lastly, to ensure

This was more of a personal need for a rant with all the "make game easier" and "gief more heroes plz" threads in Sardelac, where it was (wrongly) originally posted. It may not be the most original post in history, but I hope I made my point.
